Cutting-Edge Marketing to Grow Your Business.
Thanksgiving is such a special time, and for those of us who have been fortunate enough to be part of a great work team, we have more to be thankful for than ever. It’s easy to fall into the monotony of our daily routines, but being part of a good team can make an impact not only in our professional lives but also at the personal level.
Living through the 2020/21 Covid Pandemic has really taught me so much about gratefulness. We took so much for granted before and when it is all taken away so suddenly it really makes you realize what is important in life. During the worldwide lockdown, no one was doing anything so I didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything and enjoyed the time with my family, in my garden, playing board games and just enjoying the house that I never got to spend enough time in!
Some things that I am grateful for in 2021 as the world slowly but surely opens up, are visiting with family more often, visiting family in Colombia, and making lots of new memories. I am thankful for our continued good health that we used to take for granted but have now realized that life can be so fleeting. I feel so lucky to experience the world through my boys’ eyes all while having Jorge by my side as a strong pillar of strength. So many things to be grateful for!
I am also grateful for our amazing Kulture Konnect team. I love working with all of them and I always feel the excitement of constant learning with each other. One benefit of the marketing industry is that it is constantly changing and we get to go along for the exciting ride! Kulture Konnect would not be around today without the amazing work of the team.
I wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving and may we continue to hold our dear ones close and keep all that we are grateful for at the forefront of our hearts and spirits.
For me, it is important to recognize and practice gratitude every day so we can recognize the positive in our lives instead of focusing on the negative. As we gather around the table these holidays, Thanksgiving gives us a reminder and a moment to stop to give thanks for our family, friends, work and the good food we’re about to eat.
This year I am especially thankful that my family and I made it through the pandemic at various levels: health, work, kids’ schooling, and more. As I open my eyes every morning and close them every night, I am thankful and grateful for all I have, all I am and all life experiences that allow me to grow as a person and as a professional and that actually makes me happier.
I am so grateful that none of my close family and friends have been severely affected by COVID so far. My mom and I got sick around the start of the pandemic and we were out for a few days. We will never know if it was COVID—though I definitely feel like it was—but living through any kind of sickness is a blessing. Also, I feel really lucky that I have already been working from home for around a year when the pandemic started. I can't imagine what would have happened if I was still away from home, working in Manila. Lastly, I want to thank my bosses for being as understanding as they can when it comes to outages with power or internet, especially when I was out for almost 2 months because of the typhoons last year.
Speaking of typhoons, November is here and for us in the Philippines, it is peak typhoon season. Last year around November, we were hit by 5 typhoons one after the other. It was almost a good thing that they came in quick succession. Otherwise, we may have been off the grid for three or more months instead of the two that we suffered through. I feel glad that we have entered this month without any major typhoons and wish for this good fortune to continue onwards for the rest of the year and beyond.
Finally, I am thankful for simply being alive, for being able to live a good life and for having good people around me.
This Thanksgiving is so different from the others. We have a new sense of gratitude for freedom. I am personally so grateful for having an opportunity to do what I love every day, which is having a career in social media. I am grateful to our clients and customers that have been with us for years, appreciating our ideas and plans. I am also grateful for the amazing friends and family that support each other during the good, bad and the ugly. Having a circle that believes in you and encourages you can do wonders for your self-confidence and I am glad to have that.
Happy Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving and love and light to all!
This is the first time that I'm (sort of) celebrating Thanksgiving. On the top of my head, I am very grateful that my friends and family around the world are safe. Sadly, we did experience the loss of a family member due to COVID-19. So every day, we are reminded that we still have our health but most importantly, encourage everyone to get vaccinated so we wouldn't lose any more lives and finally be back to the (new) normal.
It would be off-brand of me if I never mentioned my dogs. I am most thankful for my puppies, Gray and Skylar, for keeping me sane and for their unconditional love. They are the joy of my life and it wouldn't be the same without them. Every day I know how lucky I am to have the most amazing friends. I'm grateful for my friends for constantly being supportive and uplifting each other in different ways. I can't wait for us to travel again and just have the best time!
Lastly, I want to thank Kent's personally. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't have known about Kulture Konnect and gotten to work with the most fantastic team. Shruti's patience is a blessing. She allows me to ask as many questions as I can think of and is always ready to help me whenever I have challenges. Niki and Jorge are the best bosses that I have worked with. They encourage everyone in the team in the best way possible and that it's okay to make mistakes and to learn from them.
This year has been amazing. Happy Thanksgiving! Stay safe and I wish you all the best deals on Black Friday!
Everyone at Kulture Konnect truly believes that every single day is a gift. We’ve all been fortunate to have seen amazing things happen in our own lives and we try to reflect that spirit of gratitude at work and personally as well.
