2015 was the year the agency formerly known as Integrated Marketing Works changed their entire look and name. They engaged in their own “brand refresh” and launched as IMW. If you visit their website, you see they have cleverly taken their original name and broken it up into a tagline – Integrated Marketing Works. We love this. You need to take a stand and establish your place in the world. Especially in the hyper-competitive and highly saturated Orange County advertsing agencies' universe of advertising and marketing.
Visiting their website just makes you sit back and relax. It makes you want to breathe and take everything in. It feels like having coffee with an old friend. It’s amazing how they are able to pull off something that on the surface would seem easy but is actually very hard to execute.
Everywhere you look you see advertising agencies in Orange County and all over the country trying to be ubercool and in your face. They want you to know that THEY are the ones on the cutting edge and connected to what’s trending, what’s hot what’s NOW. IMW comes at you from a place of trust – like the grownup in the room. Yeah they’ve got their creative chops but they’re not shoving it down your throat. They seem like the kind of agency you would never leave because they’ve thought everything through so there’s not going to be any surprises.
We totally believe in integrated marketing. It’s a must if you want to compete today and in the future. It’s thoughtful marketing that wants to be held accountable. In the age of Big Data you should expect nothing less from you advertising agency than to prove their ROI (return on investment). It no longer works to just make something creative and cool to win some award. You have to deliver the goods and get potential customers to feel connected to your brand and act on that connection.
M. Scott Peck, author of the New York Times bestseller The Road Less Travelled, wrote “Love is action. Love is not a feeling, it’s an effort.” IMW understands that a cute ad may make you feel something but that feeling will not last. What lasts is the continual effort a company makes to connect its brand to the customer. That takes a lot of work. And if we had to put money down on who would be a good partner to execute on that work, it would be IMW.
